Clinical Corner Spotlight – Summer Safety:
Most of our children are anxiously awaiting summer break. Although the thought of a long vacation is exciting, the lack of structure, predictability, and a daily routine can sometimes heighten stress levels. As parents, your stress level is probably escalating too, because of the added pressure of ensuring that your child maintains physical and emotional stability and safety during their increased hours of “freedom.” Please see attached for some helpful strategies to help you and your child achieve and maintain a healthy, happy summer.
Student Withdrawal from School:
Students who will not be attending Northern Burlington in the fall, regardless of the reason, need to be officially transferred. Parents should contact the counseling office with any questions at 609-298-3900 x2051.
Northern Burlington Driving School is open all summer. We provide the 6-hours of Behind the Wheel Instruction needed for your 16-yr old to obtain their driving permit as well as transportation to their road test and refresher hours. Our services are available to any 16-yr olds, not just Northern students. Please contact Ms. Heather Duff at email@example.com or Ms. Danielle Haley at firstname.lastname@example.org, for more information.

Guide to Proper Dress:
It is that time of year when it begins to get warm. Please refer to the Dress Code policy in the handbook, pages 26-27. Students are expected to adhere to this policy every day.
Start planning your spring cleaning. The Parent Teacher Student Connection (PTSC) is sponsoring the Spring Clothing Drive which will run for 2 weeks from June 10th thru June 24th. Access to the drop off location is the pole barn off Island Road, behind the Middle School. Signs will be posted. Bring your unwanted clothing, shoes, blankets, bedding, stuffed animals and help the environment as well as the PTSC. If shoes are bagged separately they will donate more money to us. Items must be in large black bags that are sealed properly. Items not accepted this year are: kitchen supplies, hard toys, books and baby gear. Any questions, email the PTSC at email@example.com. You can also review the company we work with by going on their website at: aeclothing.net.
Save the Date! PTSC First Annual Designer Bag Bingo and Raffle Event Friday 9/27 at Northern Burlington Middle School. We are asking #NBNation for help in this event. We are looking for donations (items or monetary) from local businesses, parents, friends, staff members, etc. No donation is too small and is beyond appreciated. This donation is tax deductible and the paperwork is attached. Please help #NBNation by sharing this paperwork by email, printing or sharing.
Any questions- email Alison Zirilli (bingo coordinator for the PTSC) at firstname.lastname@example.org
